Lane closures on westbound Whoop-Up Drive

Starting early next week, travel to west Lethbridge may be slightly delayed by alternating lane closures on westbound Whoop-Up Drive.

Beginning Monday at 7 a.m., the right lane will close, and around midday that lane will reopen and the left lane will close. All lanes should reopen by 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, only the right lane will close starting at 9 a.m. and should reopen by 2 p.m.

According to the City of Lethbridge, the westbound centre lane will remain open for the duration of this work, meaning two lanes will always be open.

The lanes are closing, so crews can place scaffolding ahead of the upcoming bridge coating replacement project happening in the coming months.
