Mobile mammogram trailer coming to Brocket in June

The Screen Test program is set to make a stop in Brocket next month, providing mammograms in the community.

A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast, with Primary Care Alberta officials said they are the best way to detect breast cancer early, when treatment might work better.

Screenings will be available for eligible individuals aged 45 to 74, with a mobile mammography trailer at Aakom-Kiyii Health Services (1860 15 Avenue) on June 1 and 2.

The screenings are free, but appointments are required. Those interested in booking a spot can call 1-800-667-0604.

Further details about the screenings are available on the Screen Test website.

Additionally, screenings can also be done at specific radiology clinics and some hospitals.
