Lethbridge Police need your help with information about a shooting at a westside home.
Police reported that a single gunshot was fired on May 10 at approximately 1:09 a.m., through the second-floor bedroom window of a home along Lafayette Boulevard West during a large house party.
The LPS said numerous partygoers fled the scene prior to police arrival.
According to police, when officers entered the home, the recent discharge of bear spray was evident, but no one with injuries was located.
The LPS said investigators have interviewed neighbours, numerous witnesses, and obtained CCTV footage of the vehicles and subjects who left the scene.
Police believe there’s additional individuals who may have information, and the investigation determined the property had been rented through Airbnb.
From May 5 until the firearm was discharged May 10, the rental property was being used to host a nearly week-long house party, including attendees from outside the city, according to the LPS. Police added that there was significant foot and vehicle traffic in the area between May 5-10, and officials are asking anyone with information about suspicious activity at any time during that period to come forward.
The LPS said evidence to-date indicates the shot fired was an isolated incident related to the house party and those in attendance.
If you have information about the shooting, the house party or suspicious activity in the area around Lafayette Boulevard West between May 5-10, contact the LPS. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
