A 43-year-old man is facing several charges after an alleged confrontation with police during a disturbance in Taber last week.
Taber Police Service said officers were called to a disturbance shortly after 1:30 a.m. on June 19. When they arrived at a home, officers located an intoxicated and aggressive man who demanded they leave the residence. Police said the man then grabbed an occupant of the home, prompting officers to step in.
During the arrest, police said the man struck one officer and resisted arrest. He allegedly struck an officer again while in custody and made threats.
Police said he was arrested without reported injuries to officers or the man.
He has been charged with assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and two counts of uttering threats. The 43-year-old has since been released on conditions.
