Internal Investigation: Lethbridge Police officer seen allegedly urinating in parking lot

Lethbridge Police have launched an internal investigation after receiving reports that an LPS officer was seen urinating in a parking lot downtown.

A person complained to police and then posted a photo and comments to a local Facebook group.

Police Chief Rob Davis has since directed an internal investigation and no comments will be made until the probe is complete.

The Facebook post in question says the person approached to ask the officer if he had just urinated in a parking lot near other people. The person alleges the officer laughed at him and said , “You bet I did”.

The post also goes on to allege the officer even offered to give the person who confronted him “the right number” to call to file a complaint.

Lethbridge Police say they take all citizens concerns seriously and an update will be provided at a later date.
