Gas prices in Lethbridge continue to climb well above provincial average

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you’re running low on gas, you might want to fill up the tank.

While many pumps around Lethbridge are still selling regular unleaded for 134.9 cents per litre, a few have made the jump to 142.9.

That’s an eight cent increase overnight and pushes the city well above the provincial average of $1.31 according to GasBuddy.com

Analysts have said prices are climbing due to an easing of pandemic related restrictions and more people traveling which means a greater demand for fuel.

Communities up around Edmonton have the lowest gas prices in the province right now at around $1.22.
