Saturday hours added for Interfaith Food Bank and Second Door Thrift Store

With the holiday season practically here, the Interfaith Food Bank will be adjusting their hours for donors to drop off donations of food or funds.

Both the Interfaith Food Bank and The Second Door Thrift Store will be open on Saturday, December 10th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, December 17th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Christmas Market.

The Christmas Market will have baked goods, canned items, and holiday gifts and currently, The Second Door Thrift Store has a generous amount of Christmas decorations, items for stocking stuffers, and wrapping paper.

Community members looking to donate to the Interfaith Food Bank but don’t have time to stop in during the week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., there are several locations in the city with collection bins, like all major grocery stores. There are also a few campaigns being offered by local businesses in the area.

Executive Director of the Interfaith Food Bank has previously mentioned that they’ve been seeing a 30 per cent increase of users at the food bank and have started to see many different faces due to inflation and cost of groceries.
