Home sales down nearly 40 per cent in Lethbridge compared to February 2022: Alberta Real Estate Association

The Lethbridge real estate market saw year-over-year decreases in February, according to the latest report from the Alberta Real Estate Association.

In February there were 107 sales made in the region, down 38 per cent compared to sales in February 2022. New listings were down 34 per cent, with 140 new properties hitting the market. Lethbridge saw the only average sales price increase in the province for February, going up by one percent to $351,783.

Overall sales in the first two months of 2023 for the region were down 30 per cent, compared to the same period in 2023. 281 new properties hit the market this year, a 25 per cent decline from 2022. The average sales price in Lethbridge saw a six one per cent decrease at $326,711.

Provincially sales in February were down 44 per cent compared to 2022, with the average sales price of $427,694 for the month down 11 per cent. The first two months of 2023 saw a four per cent year over-year decrease in sales, with the average price of $424,254 down nine per cent from 2022.
