Lethbridge man charged after police seize stolen property

Lethbridge Police Service are charging a man after the execution of a high-risk search warrant earlier this week.

On Tuesday March 14th, LPS members, along with RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, executed a high-risk search warrant at a home along the 2100 block of 5th Avenue North.

During the search warrant, police located stolen property from various break and enters in rural southern Alberta. Officers also recovered a pellet gun that was stolen from a Lethbridge residence.

No one was home at the time of the search but a male suspect turned himself into LPS later.

David Scott Walker, 50, of Lethbridge is being charged with one count of possession of stolen property under $5,000. Walker is also facing additional counts of possession of stolen property and other charges from RCMP investigations outside of Lethbridge.

Walker was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 25th, 2023.
