Mobile mammography trailer to visit Milk River in April

The mobile mammography trailer will be in Milk River next month. It will be stationed at the Prairie Rose Lodge on April 3rd and 4th.

Women ages 45 to 74 will be able to access mammography services by appointment as they are the group most at risk of developing cancer.

The Alberta Health Services’ Screen Test Program is aimed at improving access to cancer screening for women in Alberta where mammography is not readily available.

A mammogram has been proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer and an early detection means a number of options for treatment and a better chance of survival.

Appointments can be booked by calling 1-800-667-0604.
