Upgrades set for several Lethbridge parks

Parks and playgrounds in Lethbridge are getting some upgrades starting on Thursday.

William Pearce Park, located in the Riverstone area, will be getting a 3D rubber reptile play feature, and the sandbox next to the playground will be removed. This work starts Thursday and is expected to be completed by June 2nd, weather permitting.

The Willow Brook Park, near the Mike Mountain Horse School, will be having repairs done on the 2D pattern in the rubber surfacing. This work starts on Monday, May 29th and may have an impact to park users as the swings and work area will be fenced off, however the main play structure is remaining open. This work is also expected to be completed by June 2nd, with weather permitting.

The third park to be getting some upgrades is Henderson Park, this work will begin on Monday, May 29th and the playground will be closed and fenced off while crews repair the rubber surfacing. This work is set to be completed by June 5th, with weather permitting.

While these upgrades are being done to local parks, there are still over 130 other parks and natural areas for residents and families to enjoy.
