Celebrate Canada Day with various activities and events across the city

Lethbridge residents can celebrate Canada’s 156th birthday this Saturday with various activities and event planned throughout the city.

Interfaith Food Bank will be holding festivities at Galt Gardens including a charity breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon with a suggested donation of $2, the LeBaron’s Car Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., vehicle registration is $10, performers on the Community Stage also from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., an outdoor market hosted by Domesticated Divas from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and concession, food trucks and other activities from noon to 4 p.m.

Over at Henderson Lake there will be celebrations in the north end of the park starting at noon. Throughout the day and evening there will be family friendly activities including the kids zone, which will have bouncy castles, theatre shows, face painting and a youth market, throughout the day there will be live performers on the main stage and fireworks starting at 11 p.m.

Also happening all weekend long will be Warrior Relay Races at Rocky Mountain Turf Club. Admission is free both July 1st and 2nd with races starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
