June rental rates in Lethbridge remain among the lowest in the country

For the fifth month in a row, rental rates in Lethbridge remain among the lowest out of 35 municipalities included in the monthly rental report from Rentals.ca and Urbanation.

In the June report, Lethbridge finished 32nd on the list, with a one bedroom apartment on average costing $1,176 up 10.1 per cent compared to June of last year, while the average two bedroom apartment is $1,377 up 12.6 per cent from 2022. Month over month, the average one bedroom apartment was up 1.2 per cent, while a two bedroom saw a two per cent increase.

Across Alberta rent was up 18 per cent, with a one bedroom costing $1,397 and a two bedroom $1,719. Respectively, Red Deer and Edmonton finished 29th and 31st on the list, while Calgary came in 25th. Grande Prairie had the lowest rental rate in June out of all the municipalities included in the report, while Vancouver and Toronto continue to have two of the highest rental rates across the country.
