Lethbridge Historical Society launches updated book

The Lethbridge Historical Society is launching an update to its book Upon Further Reflection: Lethbridge Then and Now.

The new publication is an update to a book published decades ago and it will include updated captions from Historical Society president Belinda Crowson, as well as new modern photos from Mike Jenson.

The book shares photos of places in the city and highlights how they have changed from the early 1900s to now.

“Full of photographs and a short, fun read, we expect this book to be a popular seller, especially leading into Christmas,” reads a news release from the historical society. “Highlighting many locations around Lethbridge, the many photographs will not only bring to life these locations to readers but also showcases our community.”

A book launch event is planned at the Lethbridge Public Library main branch on Nov. 28, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The book will be for sale there and historical society member will get special pricing. The book will also be available at retailers around southern Alberta after the launch, with a cost of $20.
