Six people charged in connection to significant drug seizure by Coaldale RCMP

A stolen property investigation has led Coaldale and Picture Butte RCMP officers to arrest six people and seize a substantial amount of drugs.

On March, 9th RCMP officers are reported to have executed a search warrant of a Coaldale home that was believed to be connected to a stolen property investigation opened on February 19th. During the search of the home, police are said to have recovered items that are believed to be connected to the initial investigation, along with a substantial amount of what officers believe to be meth, fentanyl, heroin and psilocybin.

The six people are all facing multiple charges connected to the possession of a controlled substance with the purpose of trafficking. One of the six individuals also faces additional charges for breaching a release order. Three of the six were released on an Undertaking for Alberta Court of Justice in Lethbridge, one other was released on conditions, while the remaining two suspects have been remanded into custody.
