Lethbridge, Coaldale, Raymond on “talking rural crime” tour

Alberta’s Minister of Justice is hitting the road, looking to gather input and discuss concerns about increased crime in rural areas.

Doug Schweitzer says he wants to meet with Albertans to ensure there is a faster, fairer, and more responsive justice system in the province.

Throughout this month, Schweitzer will meet with individual residents, business owners, rural crime watch groups, and local officials to hear first-hand their crime concerns.

The minister will be in Lethbridge and Coaldale on September 17th and in Raymond September 30th.

Schweitzer says the UCP government wants to work with people to ensure the province’s justice system reflects the realities of rural Alberta.
