More than two dozen new doctors came to Lethbridge over the past year

A new report from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta shows an increase in doctors in Lethbridge over the past year.

According to the report released at the end of June, since June 30th, 2023 there has been a 9.7 per cent bump in the number of physicians practicing in the city, equal to roughly 27 new physicians. Included in the additional doctors are three who started their practices between April and June of this year.

According to the report, the province saw 124 physicians added in the last three months of 2024 and 496 added over the past year, which include 208 family doctors.
