Fatal incident at McCain Foods construction site near Coaldale

A fatal incident occurred on Wednesday at the construction site of the new McCain Foods expansion facility being built near Coaldale. 

“McCain Foods is deeply saddened to learn a contractor was involved in a fatal incident at the construction site,” says Howard Snape, regional president, McCain Foods North America. 

“Our sincere condolences go out to their family and loved ones. We are providing support to anyone at the site who may need it, including counselling services,” adds Snape. 

According to Snape, a safe work environment for everyone at McCain Foods facilities is paramount. “We are working closely with the contracting companies and local authorities to investigate this tragic incident.”
