The BIPOC Foundation is set to host its Legacy Gala at the Lethbridge Multicultural Centre.
The event on Friday, November 1 will celebrate the achievements of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour in the community.
The evening also aims to promote conversations about diversity, inclusion, and leadership. Officials say the Legacy Gala is “more than just a social gathering” and note it celebrates the cultural diversity in Lethbridge while bringing a wide variety of people together to recognize people and groups that have made a significant impact in the community.
Funds raised from the Legacy Gala will support BIPOC Foundation’s programs, which help underrepresented local entrepreneurs in the community.
Additionally, the evening will feature the announcement of the winners of the 2024 Excellence Awards. Categories include ‘Top 5 BIPOC Entrepreneurs’, ‘Top 5 Indigenous Businesses’, ‘Top 5 Black Women Business’, and ‘Top 5 Black Business’.
The Legacy Gala starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 1 at the Lethbridge Multicultural Centre.
