The check-stop program will continue throughout the rest of the holiday month and into the New Year in efforts to improve road safety by removing impaired drivers.

The message through this program from police and other law officials is to plan ahead and make arrangements for a safe ride home if you are going to drink or use other intoxicating substances over the holidays.
