Basketball concludes, indoor track heats up for Kodiaks

This past weekend, the Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks completed another chapter in their athletic year.

The men’s basketball team finished the season after competing in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference championships, while indoor track hosted the last event of the regular season.

The men’s basketball team travelled to Caronport, Saskatchewan to compete in the 2025 ACAC Men’s Basketball Championships. The Kodiaks lost to Keyano College Huskies 87-84 and in the consolation semi-final, fell 76-70 to the Lakeland College Rustlers.

The Kodiaks hosted the third ACAC Running Room Grand Prix event at the University of Lethbridge. This marked the first time since 2016 that the indoor track team had the opportunity to host an event, welcoming athletes from seven ACAC schools for an action-packed day of competition.

The next event where all teams will compete is the ACAC Indoor Track Championships, taking place March 15 and 16 at the Universiade Pavilion in Edmonton.
