The summer season started with a rainy weekend across Alberta.
Plenty of communities saw heavy rainfall Friday through Sunday, including Lethbridge.
Environment Canada says the city received about 59 millimetres of rain.
Compared with last year, Lethbridge received more total rain on Friday and Saturday than the entirety of June 2024, where 57.3 millimetres of rain was reported in the city.
On Friday, Lethbridge got 14.6 millimetres and on Saturday, 44.4 millimetres.
In Lethbridge, fallen trees were reported and the City is thanking all workers who helped keep the community safe during the stormy weekend.

Elsewhere in Alberta, as of 6 a.m. on Sunday, the community of Cappon, south of Oyen, had gotten the most weekend rain with 131.4 millimetres.

- Bow Valley: 98.1
- Claresholm: 78.7
- Cardston: 52.3
- Crowsnest: 51.6
- Pincher Creek: 48
- Brooks: 41.3
The rain brought with it strong wind gusts, with the strongest listed on Saturday:
- Milk River: 87 km/hr
- Champion: 85 km/hr
- Fort Mcleod: 84 km/hr
- Claresholm: 80 km/hr
- Mossleigh: 80 km/hr
- Stavely: 80 km/hr
