Giving Machine returning to Park Place Mall during the season of giving

Over $160,000 in funds was raised through the Giving Machine this year in Lethbridge.

According to Giving Machine officials, a total of $165,000 was raised with $101,000 staying in the Lethbridge area. The funds were raised through the placement of a vending machine with charitable options being set up inside Park Place Mall. The options included donations to community partners in Lethbridge and global partners such as WaterAid and CARE-Canada.

According to officials, the Giving Machine will be returning to the mall in November, to support community groups including the Interfaith Food Bank, The Soup Kitchen, The Boys and Girls Club, My City Care and the Family Centre. Water Aid and Care Canada will also be back.

More information to come.
