Lethbridge College men’s soccer team in Ontario for nationals

The Lethbridge College men’s soccer team is going for its first CCAA national championship in Oshawa, Ontario this week.

The Kodiaks are fresh off winning the first ACAC championship in program history by winning three straight games at the conference championships at the end of October.

Head Coach Sean Carey says “the feeling was just elation” adding “as a coaching staff, we said from day one that we wanted to build a legacy here and this is the start of a legacy.”

The Kodiaks begin their quest for a national banner in quarter final action Wednesday morning when they face off against the Vancouver Island University Mariners.

VIU earned a wildcard berth to nationals as the runners-up in British Columbia’s PACWEST conference.

The Kodiaks went 8-1-3 in the regular season to finish second in the ACAC south division before winning the ACAC title.
