Youth One Black Tie Gala raises $120K

100 youth in Lethbridge will be able to access a full year of programming after $120,000 was raised at the Youth One Black Tie Gala.

CEO and Founding Partner of Youth One, Jordan Schellenberg, says that reaching the goal during Saturday’s event was not surprising at all considering the amazing support Youth One gets from the community.

“I’m not surprised, we have such an amazing community behind the youth of Lethbridge, so coming in tonight we just had fun doing it and everyone showed up and were just as dedicated to the mission as we are throughout the year.”

Community members in attendance who wanted to donate could do so by donating $100 for one month sponsorship for a youth or $1,200 for the entire year for a youth.

Schellenberg also thanks the community for their contributions.

“We can’t say thanks enough to the community, huge thank you to them for giving so generously and showing up to support youth in Lethbridge.”

Youth One provides mentorship based, after school programs and support services for youth ages 11 to 18. The programs are designed to give students a community of belonging, support, and guidance during the most formative years. Youth One was launched in 2014.
