Investigation underway after teen allegedly approached by stranger in west Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police are looking for the public’s help in a case where a teenaged boy says he was approached by an unknown man in a vehicle.

It’s alleged to have happened along Mic Mac Boulevard on the west side around 2:00 pm last Tuesday, June 22nd.

LPS say the 16 year old boy was outside a business when he was apparently waved over by a person sitting in a vehicle.

When the boy went over, the man got out of his vehicle and asked him questions of a sexual nature and also made physical advances towards him.

Police say when they man was asked to stop, he did and the boy walked away.

The suspect is described as being in his mid-40’s with tanned skin, short back hair, and was wearing white sunglasses. The vehicle he was driving is said to be a dark-coloured two-door car.

Anyone who was in that area area on the west side on June 22nd and may have information on what took place to please call Lethbridge Police.

Pat also spent several years broadcasting hockey in the BCHL as well as seven years as the radio voice of the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the WHL. Pat has been working at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Lethbridge as a Certified Life Celebrant and Funeral Assistant since 2016. News and sports have always been Pat's passion from the time he was a teenager and he's always been grateful to have had the opportunity to make that part of what's been a fun and long radio career!
