New horseback excursion being offered at Castle Mountain this summer

There’s a new adventure for those looking to get out in the mountains this summer.

Castle Mountain Ski Resort, near Pincher Creek, is partnering up with Centre Peak High Country Adventures to offer half-day horseback excursions to Haig Lake.

The guided trail ride lets visitors explore the area the way Swiss immigrant Paul Klass did in the late 1950s.

He rode into the region and decided it would make a perfect ski area, later establishing the West Castle Ski Resort which is now known as Castle Mountain Ski Resort.

There are four dates available this summer with the first set for this Saturday, June 29.
