LETHBRIDGE, AB – Local organizations are making it very easy for us to help those less fortunate during the holidays.
The Lethbridge Police Service is partnering up with the Christmas Hope campaign for the second annual Charity Checkstop.
The drive-thru style event was hugely successful last year and organizers are hoping to see a great turnout again this year.
Donations of new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items can be dropped off this Sunday between noon and 4pm at the ENMAX Centre parking lot.
Supporters can drive up, drop off donations and drive away in a timely fashion all while following health measures and distancing guidelines.
Lethbridge Police Constable Stewart Kambeitz says “we know there are still many residents who are struggling right now and the response we got from the community last year was so incredible, we are extremely excited to be able to help make Christmas special for everyone.”
Christmas Hope is a collaboration between six Lethbridge organizations, including both food banks, the Salvation Army, Lethbridge Family Services, MyCityCare and Volunteer Lethbridge.
