LETHBRIDGE, AB – Another seven immediate roadside sanctions and a dozen tickets resulting from Lethbridge Police Service Check Stops this past weekend.
In all, police checked 525 vehicles with three breathalyzer fails, one warning for blood-alcohol content over .05, and three zero tolerance sanctions for those with graduated licences.
Those kinds of sanctions can come with licence suspensions, vehicle seizures and hefty fines.
The LPS took another two suspended drivers off the road, there were 25 Traffic Safety Act or Liqour and Cannabis Act tickets handed out, and nine vehicles were towed away.
Local Holiday Check Stops will be continuing for the rest of this month.
