Temporary parking ban issued on Phase one snow clearing routes

For the second time in just over a week, those who live on Phase One snow routes across Lethbridge will need to find a place to park their vehicle as plows look to clear the latest dumping of snow.

The City of Lethbridge declared phase one routes active as of noon on Monday, following a sustained snowfall from Sunday night into Monday morning as crews will be out and about clearing major thoroughfares, and some residential roads. Drivers who leave vehicles on impacted routes could find themselves ticketed as a result.

Arterial roads are typically cleared between 12 and 24 hours, before the city moves on to second priority roads.
