Home sales in the Lethbridge area saw a 14.5 per cent decline in the month of June, compared to the same month the year before, according to the latest report from the Alberta Real Estate Association.
Along with a decline in sales, new listings and the sale inventory in June also saw a significant decrease. New listings were down 26.5 per cent, with only 249 new listings, and the inventory in the area was down 20.5 per cent.
The average price saw a 0.3 per cent year-over-year decrease, at $346,535 and a slight month-over-month increase from the $345,221 in May.
Year-to-date sales are down 23 per cent compared to this time last year. The year-to-date average price is down two per cent, at $338,997.
Provincially sales were up 2.6 per cent in June compared to the same month last year; new listings are also down 13.5 per cent. The average price is up 3.6 per cent, at $468,519.
