Lethbridge College chosen for diversity and inclusion pilot project

Lethbridge College will be taking part in a diversity and inclusion pilot project.

The college is just one of 17 post-secondary schools across the country chosen for this national initiative.

Dr. Jennifer Davis is a researcher and instructor at Lethbridge College and is taking the lead on this project. She says it is encouraging to discover how much the college is already doing to foster inclusive activities on campus, adding the project will “really allow us to become a leader in this area.

She says it’s a testament to LC President, Dr. Paula Burns and the Executive Leadership Team “that they are willing to strongly support and champion this project, because it does involve committing college resources to make it a reality.

Institutions that successfully complete the two-year pilot project will receive formal recognition from the tri-agency for their efforts to promote equity, diversity and inclusion.
