Two Lethbridge men facing charges in connection to alleged bicycle chop shop

Two Lethbridge men are facing charges in connection to an alleged bicycle chop shop on the north side.

Police say ongoing investigations into bike thefts around the city resulted in a search warrant being executed at a home along the 600 block of 21st street north last Wednesday.

A number of bicycles in various states of disassembly or modification were found as were numerous bike parts.

One man was also found in possession of meth.

58 year old Carl George Pohlmann has been charged with theft under $5,000 while 40 year old Jesse Aron Tabor is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance and breaking conditions.

Police say more charges are also pending.

Intact bicycles, that had been reported stolen and the owners identified, have been returned.
