Lethbridge police are asking for help identifying a woman in connection to a robbery and assault at a northside gas station.
Police responded to the report at Fas Gas along the 400 block of Stafford Drive North just after 5 p.m. on April 16.
“Investigation determined an unknown female was observed concealing merchandise and was confronted by the clerk,” police say in a press release. “The female subject became agitated and as the employee proceeded to walk away, the subject attacked her from behind and violently assaulted her.”
The woman is described as an Indigenous and about 30-years-old. She was wearing a grey plaid coat, with a black long sleeve shirt underneath, grey pants and black shoes.
Police provided surveillance footage in hope it will help identify the woman.
