River Valley fire ban lifted

Recent moisture and changes in weather has resulted in the River Valley Fire Ban being lifted.

According to officials, the fire risk in the area has been reduced, but anyone planning to have a fire is urged to take precautions.

These precautions include making sure clean, dry wood is used and fires are completely extinguished before leaving the area.

Smokers are also being reminded to be extra cautious when disposing of smoking materials.
