Lethbridge Police arrest man accused of using fake cash

Lethbridge Police laying charges in connection to multiple incidents of counterfeit bills being passed at local businesses.

On August 30th, police responded to a report of a car prowling in the area of Kinsmen Park.

A man matching the suspect’s description was located and arrested after officers determined he was breaching release conditions.

Police also found a fake $100 bills with the same serial number as a string of others that had been passed at No Frills, Panago, 7-Eleven, and a Taber corn stand.

29 year old Shaun David Dyck is facing a number of charges including possession of counterfeit currency and uttering counterfeit currency.

He’s due in Lethbridge Provincial Court early next month.
