Two men taken into custody following separate ‘high-risk incidents’ in north Lethbridge Monday 

Police in Lethbridge were kept busy on Monday. The Lethbridge Police Service responded to two ‘high-risk incidents’ on the north side of the city. 

The first was reported just after 12 p.m. on Monday, December 30. Officials say officers responded to a home on the 200 block of 19 Street North.  

Just after 1:30 p.m., the LPS reported that a man had been taken into custody, and it was safe for the public to resume regular use of the area. 

Police note the incident was “related to an ongoing investigation”.

A second ‘high-risk incident’ was reported at a home on the 1800 block of 8A Avenue North shortly after 9 p.m. Monday. 

The incident was resolved just before 9:30 p.m., with one man taken into police custody.
