Artistic Director Kelly Reay says annually New West also runs a slate of educational programming, including PD day camps, summer drama camps and seasonal classes in the fall, winter and spring . “Primarily focused on youth, but we also have adult classes.”

Reay adds this season is a great mix of returning and new cast members. “We’re about 80 per cent cast, so there’s still a few opportunities. We did some extensive audition processes. You’ll see a lot of familiar faces and hopefully be wowed by some new talent on our stage.”

Every year, Reay says, New West hopes to continue its upward trajectory.

“We’ve gained a lot of momentum over the past few years. We’ve seen record ticket sale numbers. And our shows have been well-received by the audiences in Lethbridge,” notes Reay.

The hope is to offer new programming such as Clue, while maintaining the classic New West formula, “audiences have come to love,” adds Reay.
