Jordan Sailer says he believes in fostering opportunities for people of all ages and wants to ensure the Town of Coaldale continues to move forward.
Sailer is seeking re-election for council in the 2025 municipal election. My Lethbridge Now asked Sailer the following questions ahead of Monday’s general voting day,
Why are you running?
“I am running because I want to see Coaldale continue to be a safe, welcoming, and thriving community where families can grow and succeed. I believe in fostering opportunities for all ages by supporting the development of new businesses, community facilities, and programs that nurture our children’s gifts and talents. My goal is to help ensure Coaldale remains a place where people are proud to live, work, and raise their families.”
How do you plan to manage the time commitment?
“The same way I have over the past four years. My family will always be my top priority, but I am also deeply committed to serving the community. I make it a point to be present and engaged whenever the Town needs me, and I am prepared to continue balancing these responsibilities with dedication and care.”
How do you plan to take your prior experience and move forward with that?
“Over the past four years, we have accomplished a lot of positive things for Coaldale, and I want to see that progress continue. My experience has given me a strong understanding of how our Town operates, as well as the challenges and opportunities ahead. By building on the momentum we’ve created and staying focused on practical, community-minded solutions, I believe we can continue moving Coaldale in a positive direction.”
For any major projects that are proposed, how do you plan to address those?
“I approach every project with critical thinking and an open mind. It’s important to listen to both sides, carefully consider the pros and cons, and gather all the facts before making a decision. Once I have a clear picture of the potential impacts, I decide whether the project is in the best interest of Coaldale. My goal is always to make choices that benefit the community as a whole.”
General voting day in the municipal election is Monday, October 20. On that day, Coaldale residents can vote from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Coaldale Community Centre.
