New Year’s Eve festivities for all ages at Glow Lethbridge

Get ready to party like it’s going to be 2026!

Glow Lethbridge’s family-friendly Neon Night New Year’s Eve Party returns Dec. 31 to the Lethbridge and District Exhibition/Excite grounds.

Not only can you have a final chance to explore Glow Lethbridge this season, but the evening will also feature a DJ dance party, a photobooth, fun party favours and a special 8 p.m. New Year’s countdown.

Introduced in 2024, the Neon Night New Year’s Eve Party revived the tradition of a family-friendly New Year’s Eve party, as the organization had hosted a community celebration throughout the 2000s and 2010s.

“New Year’s is a time of coming together as a community to celebrate the successes of the year and look ahead to the good things to come in the year ahead,” says Excite Lethbridge Director of Community Engagement Paul Kingsmith.

“It’s something we didn’t do for a few years, but with Glow coming back it was an opportunity to really make sure we’re sending the year out with a big bang,” Kingsmith adds.

According to Kingsmith, this season Glow Lethbridge has been outstanding. “We’re so thankful for the people that have come out. We’ve seen an increase in attendance with some of our busiest days still to come throughout the Christmas season. It’s been a really great year. The reviews have been excellent. We’re seeing more first-time guests than we’ve seen since the first year.”

“We’re also seeing some people making it part of their Christmas traditions who are back for their third year in a row. It’s really heartening to see the event has kind of found a home in the community,” notes Kingsmith.

Doors to the Neon Night New Year’s Eve Party open at 4 p.m. Dec. 31, with the party ongoing until 9 p.m.

Glow Lethbridge operates continuously throughout the holiday season, except for Christmas Day.
