Stan Siwik Pool reopening delayed until Jan. 26

Lethbridge’s Stan Siwik Pool remains closed, as work continues towards its reopening.

According to the City of Lethbridge, the facility closed for annual maintenance Dec. 1, 2025.

Unforeseen issues with the basin delayed the original reopening date.

The pool is now expected to reopen Jan. 26.

Swimming lessons scheduled for Jan. 12 to Mar. 21 will now run Jan. 26 to Mar. 28.

Recreation Excellence is contacting all impacted families and issuing account credits for any lessons that cannot be rescheduled.

While crews continue to address the issue, the Fritz Sick, Nicholas Sheran and Cor Van Raay YMCA pools remain open for public use.
