Taber man faces child exploitation, firearms charges

A 35-year-old Taber man faces child exploitation and firearms charges after police executed a search warrant at his home.

The Taber Police Service said officers worked with the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams South Alberta Internet Child Exploitation unit to search a residence in the 4600 block of 51 Avenue on Feb. 11.

Police said the investigation resulted in the seizure of several firearms that were allegedly stored improperly, along with child sexual exploitation material.

Officers arrested the suspect following the search and laid several charges related to child sexual exploitation material and firearm storage.

The man was released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court in Taber on April 7.
