Whoop-Up Days sets modern paid attendance records

One of Lethbridge’s premiere summer attractions, Whoop-Up Days, wrapped up with new modern paid attendance records set.

The annual event ran from Aug. 18-22 and drew more than 56,000 guests.

The growth of Whoop-Up Days continues a recent trend, as this is the third-straight year the fair has set a new modern-day paid attendance record. The total of 56,375 guests is a 2.8 per cent increase from 2025.

Excite Lethbridge CEO Kim Gallucci said Whoop-Up Days benefits the entire community by providing hundreds of job opportunities, raising thousands of dollars for charities, and bringing many people to the city, “which helps drive economic growth.”

This year also highlighted the Siksikaitsitapi Pow Wow and Princess Pageant.

Other highlights included headliner stage entertainment, including Fefe Dobson, Default and Gord Bamford, the West Coast Amusements Midway, the brand-new Rodeo Cabaret, Pure Power Wrestling’s Hot Summer Night, and more.

Director of Event Development Paul Kingsmith added Excite Lethbridge takes it as a challenge to continue growing these events. “To provide even more value and one-of-a-kind experiences for southern Albertans and visitors alike. The work begins now to create an even better experience in 2027.”
