Lethbridge man charged with alleged indecent act in Galt Gardens

A 59-year-old Lethbridge man has been charged with allegedly committing an indecent act following an incident at a city park.

On the afternoon of Oct. 15, Lethbridge Police responded to a report of an alleged indecent act at the playground in Galt Gardens.

Witnesses reported an unknown man sat on a bench near multiple children who were playing in the area and was allegedly observed committing an indecent act.

Members of the Downtown Policing Unit attended and located a man matching the suspect description a short time later. He was subsequently arrested without incident.

At the time of the arrest, police determined the man was bound by conditions prohibiting him from attending any city park.

The man was charged with multiple alleged offences, including one count of committing an indecent act in a public place, one count of indecent exposure in the presence of youth under 16, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
