City of Lethbridge starts legal proceedings related to local facility

The City of Lethbridge has announced that it has started the legal proceedings in connection with advice given during the funding and development of the Lethbridge Trade and Convention Centre, then known as the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre.

Officials said the move was taken “to protect the financial interests of Lethbridge residents and the municipality”. Additionally, the City said the proceedings have been filed to protect the municipality’s legal position, “and the lawsuit is early on in the proceedings”.

As the matter has been filed with the Court, the City said it will not be commenting any further. Further details on the issue are available through the City website.
