LETHBRIDGE, AB. – Lethbridge continues to buck the national trend when it comes to the cost of renting a place to live.
According to data from Rentals.ca, the average rent for apartments and condos here in the city is up 4% year-over-year.
That’s in sharp contrast to average rent across Canada which has actually fallen by 8.7% over the 12 months.
In January, Lethbridge came in at number 31 on a list of 35 Canadian cities for average monthly rent for a one bedroom place at $938 dollars and 32nd on the list when it comes to a two bedroom home at $1,102.
