Hit and run on southern Alberta highway sends cyclist to hospital

A cyclist being rushed to hospital in life threatening condition after he was hit by a vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway.

It happened Monday night at about 9 o’clock just east of Medicine Hat.

Redcliff RCMP say the westbound cyclist was hit by a vehicle and left on the side of the road until another motorist came upon him and called 911.

He was rushed to hospital then air-lifted to Calgary.

Anyone with information is asked to call Redcliff RCMP.
