Lethbridge Police investigating north side sexual assault

Lethbridge Police are investigating after a woman reported she had been sexually assaulted by two men in a north side alley late Thursday night.

The 51 year old woman told officers she was walking through the alley along the 1900 block of 6th avenue north when she came across the two men.

They asked her for money and when she told them she didn’t have any, they sexually assaulted her and left the scene on bicycles.

The woman ran to a nearby home where she called police and was taken to hospital a short time later.

The first suspect is described as an Aboriginal male, approximately six-feet tall, wearing jeans. The second suspect is described as an Aboriginal male, with short hair and a pock-marked face, who was wearing a dark sweatshirt and jeans.

Anyone in the surrounding area who has security cameras or who saw or heard anything between 8pm and midnight Thursday are asked to call police.
