River Valley home to four new public water faucets

This summer, the City of Lethbridge has installed four new public water faucets in Indian Battle Park.

The auto-shutoff taps are located on the exteriors of the park’s four washroom buildings. These water stations are part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve park amenities and promote public health and safety.

“We’re proud to offer these new waterspouts to make the park more accessible and comfortable, especially during the hotter months,” says Craig Richter, Parks Project Manager. “They’re here, in part, to help you, or perhaps a pet, stay hydrated during your visit.”

In the meantime, here’s how you can make the most of the new water spigots:

  • Stay hydrated: Whether you’re walking, running, biking or just relaxing, clean drinking water is now more accessible. And this includes your four-legged friends! Make sure your pets are also hydrated and not overheated.
  • Refill your bottles: Help reduce plastic waste by using refillable containers.
  • Keep cool: On hot days, take breaks in the shade and drink plenty of water to avoid heat-related illness.
