Nikka Yuko Winter Light Festival set to open this month

The fourth annual Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden will open at the end of the month.

The festival brought in just under 15,000 visitors last year and has quickly become a winter staple here in Lethbridge.

Marketing and Events Manager Melanie Berdusco says they’re constantly looking at new ways to improve visitor experience and are working with the ENMAX Centre this year to develop a new ticketing system this year.

She says the new system will make it easier for people to purchase tickets online which will save time at the garden and eliminate long lines during the Winter Light Festival.

And while there hasn’t been a final light count yet, Berdusco says there were 125,000 last year adding there will be more this year.

The Winter Light Festival at Nikka Yuko runs November 29th to January 31st.
